Sophia
Yaroshevych

Sophia lives in Lviv, the historical city in the west of Ukraine. Since she was a little girl, Sophia has loved to paint. She grew up in an artistic family and inherited a love for Ukrainian motifs.
Sophia has been studying in the Art School, where she met her husband. Together they have a talented daughter who lives in Kyiv and works as an interior designer. 
Sophia's husband is now fighting for the freedom and independence of Ukraine. She is proud of her husband but exhausted and wishes for victory and greeting our defenders home soon.

The ancient and modern stories inspire the artist to create marvelous drawings. Sophia told us about her childhood and her grand-grandmother, who used to knit hand-made mats. Those timeless memories enlighten the unique ornament on Sophia's piece of art.

There is no limit in size and shape when we talk about Sophia's art. In the studio, we can find tiny postcards and large paintings on the glass, great canvases, and ceramic goods.

Sophia works in the children's center, where she teaches to transform dreams and thoughts into art.
Today, in those difficult times, Sophia helps the young Ukrainians forget about the war for a couple of hours and create their own fairytale.
